Anonymous asked: From my experience, the French taught is more like Dictionary French, meaning that the grammar of the sentences doesn't make much sense, but the words are the words. However, I haven't done French at a university level (I live not far outside of Quebec, so my first language is English), so it may be different. I just wanted to give you a friendly heads up about it, in case you weren't aware that there was a difference. I wish you all the best though & hope you enjoy your stay in Canada :)
Thank you! We’re doing a pre-weekend in Quebec city so I’ll be sure and pick up a local dictionary. :)
